Our Agreement with You An agreement, which incorporates these booking conditions, is formed between us
when you either
submit a completed Reservation form from our web site (unless the lodge(s) you
require is not available for the dates requested), or you make a booking by telephone and pay by credit
or debit card over the phone.
Payment
An Initial Payment of £100 for each £500 (or less) of the rental cost per lodge
of your booking is payable when booking. We will send you a confirmation, by post or email, upon receipt of this
payment. The balance of the cost of the holiday is due 6 weeks before you
arrive. No further reminders will be sent.
Cancellation and Insurance
Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement with you
is a legal contract. If you cannot go on holiday and the lodge cannot be re-let,
you are liable to pay for the booking in full, even if you cancel before paying
the balance. If we succeed in re-letting the lodge for that same period, we will
deduct from you what you owe us (or refund to you) any such rentals received
less your deposit, which is always non-refundable. For these reasons we strongly
recommend that you take out cancellation insurance -
click here for details of a suitable scheme
including an on-line application form.
Non-availability of lodge as booked
We would only cancel your holiday if the lodge(s) was
unavailable for reasons beyond our reasonable control. In such an event we would
refund to you all monies paid for the holiday. Our liability to you would not
extend beyond this refund.
Arrival
The lodge will be ready for you from 4.00pm on the day of
your arrival, unless otherwise agreed in advance. You should report to the lodge
park Reception to collect your key and swimming pool pass. Please do not arrive
earlier, as the lodge will not be ready and reception staff will not be
available to welcome you. Please let us know if you will be arriving after
6.00pm and arrangements will be made for after-hours key collection.
Occupancy
The number of people staying in the lodge must under no
circumstances exceed the number declared at the time of booking (or
subsequently, but prior to arrival). In the event that Reception staff or
cleaners inform us that more people have occupied the lodge, an additional
charge equivalent to twice the published price difference will be levied.
Departure
You should vacate the lodge by 10am on the morning of your
departure, and leave the key and pool pass at Reception. To assist our cleaners,
we ask that you leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.
Complaints
Should you find any faults or have any complaints during
your stay, please advise the Reception staff of these immediately so that any
appropriate action can be taken. They will refer to ourselves at Thistle Lodges
as appropriate. Any unresolved disputes may be referred to arbitration.
Liability
We do not accept liability for damage, loss or injury
unless caused by proven negligent act or omission of ourselves, our employees or
contractors, or agents of the same, whilst acting in the course of their
employment. This include loss or damage to vehicles and their contents, and to
the personal possessions you bring with you.
Damage and Breakages
You are responsible for any breakages or damage you cause
to the lodge and its contents. Please report these when you leave, or else we
will send you an invoice which will also include an administration charge of
£25.00. Note that we do not normally charge for minor breakages (eg glassware,
crockery) provided that they have been reported.
Web Site
We make every effort to ensure that the information
contained on our web site and leaflets printed from this are accurate. We do
however reserve the right to make small changes and we accept no liability for
minor inaccuracies.
Pets
Well behaved dogs are allowed in the lodges and must be
declared on the reservation form. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the
bedrooms or on the lounge furniture, and must not be left in the lodge alone.
Dogs should always be kept on a lead in the lodge park, and any mess should be
cleaned up and disposed of hygienically
